ATV trails open May 20 till November 1 annually. The 2,400 acre site of the Monroe Prairie Recreational Area is located off Badger Avenue between State Road 13 and 15th Avenue in northern Adams County. The site is devoted exclusively to ATV users and features a 25 mile circuit. An expanding network of township roads approved for ATV use allow many ATVers to reach the site by ATV. New for 2014: Due to recent property sale by landowner (which was not Adams County) some trails have been re-routed. Trail(s) may be accessed at the original Trail Head on Badger Avenue. Please note posted trail changes on maps located directly on trail sites.
Wintertime is snowmobiling season in Adams County with over 230 miles of state funded, well groomed trails that twist through forest and farmland. Afterward, look to Adams County businesses for cozy accommodations and dining to top off a perfect outing.
